Just finished the Genentech oncology specialist process. Here's the breakdown: recruiter screen, hiring manager video, regional director video, a full day field ride with a senior rep, then a panel with three people including a national account director. They asked me to do a 15-minute mock detail on a competitor product I'd never sold — I think it was testing resourcefulness more than knowledge. Total time from first contact to offer: 9 weeks. Offer was $132k base for a solid tumor focus role in the Pacific Northwest. 20% target bonus, RSUs vesting over 4 years. ESPP. Accepted.
