Company: Novartis
Tags: layoffs, culture
Got the call on a Tuesday. By Thursday two of my closest colleagues were gone and my territory had doubled. No severance warning, no performance issues — pure structural cut. HR did a 20-minute Zoom and that was it. I've been at Novartis 6 years and I understand the business rationale but the way it was handled was genuinely demoralizing. Kept waiting for some acknowledgment that these were real people who gave real effort. Never came. Currently exploring options but the market is tighter than it was in 2024. Heads up to anyone at the company — the cardio reorg isn't finished.
